Western MA tornado, Aftermath

Well you never expect it to happen till you see it with your own eyes. Yesterday evening three major storms came through the area, two of them produced tornados that touched down in Westfield and continued through Springfield and the adjacent towns and cities. Most of the major damage was contained in Shaker Road in Westfield. Munger Hill School in Westfield closed for today and tomorrow because part of the roof has been torn off. Other than that almost all of the roads are passable. If you are going to try and get into Springfield the turnpike is going to be your best way to get there because most of the back roads into Springfield are impassable because of downed trees and power lines. Also the governor has asked that non-essential personnel should stay home so the crews can do there work to clean everything up.
